I am still upset that TRS members are allowed to get credit for half of their accumulated sick leave at retirement, but ORP members are NOT. This is patently unfair and should be fixed. It would not be hard to do: just calculate the amount of money an ORP member would earn for each of those days and deposit that amount in their ORP account. Simple.

I would like you to bring up the letting people have the option of making a one-time revenue neutral switch from the ORP to the TRS. When people have to make the choice between the two plans they have no idea of whether they are going to get tenure or not.
